RSI indicators show further decline in the Azores in March - Communication

The Regional Secretary for Health and Social Security, Mónica Seidi, highlighted the latest figures on the Social Integration Income (RSI) in the Autonomous Region of the Azores for March 2026.

At the end of March, the Region registered 2,284 RSI households and 5,173 beneficiaries.

Compared with February 2026, there has been a reduction of 45 households and 125 beneficiaries, reflecting a positive trend in this indicator.

A comparison with the same period last year also shows a significant change, with 1,171 fewer beneficiaries than in March 2025, corresponding to a decline of 18.5%.

Mónica Seidi emphasised that “the trends observed confirm the gradual improvement in the RSI indicators in the Region, which is the result of the ongoing outreach work with families and the improvement of available social support services.”

The government official also noted that "these figures continue to demonstrate the effectiveness of control and monitoring procedures, ensuring that the RSI is allocated rigorously and effectively targeted at those who need it."
