Regional Government presents list of applications accepted for cultural support in 2026 - Communication

The Regional Secretariat for Education, Culture and Sport has published a list containing all applications for the Cultural Agents Support Scheme for events to be held next year on its website dedicated to culture.

According to Sofia Ribeiro, the government official responsible for Culture, “this procedure reflects the standardisation of deadlines and greater transparency in the process.”

This is the first year that applications for cultural support are governed by the amendments introduced by the Regional Government to the respective regulations. In this regard, the government official added that "the creation of the application platform has streamlined the entire process, both in terms of application and assessment," except in cases where, during a transition phase, applications on paper format were still accepted.

Following the application process that ended on October 15 and after technical verification of the regulatory compliance of each application, in terms of the documentation submitted, the suitability of the project and the accreditation of applicants, cultural agents can now check the status of their application in terms of admissibility.

This will be followed by a further review of applications, during which applicants will have five working days to submit any additional or supplementary information; otherwise, they will be excluded. Once this period has elapsed, the final decision on admissibility will be made within 15 working days.

It should be noted that 359 projects were eligible for cultural support, with 224 currently accepted, 112 undergoing further review, and 23 excluded due to non-compliance.
