Applications for ESTAGIAR L and T in Public Administration from October 6 to 24 - Communication

The Regional Secretariat for Youth, Housing and Employment announces that the application period for traineeships in the Central, Regional and Local public Administration under the ESTAGIAR L and ESTAGIAR T programmes will open on October 6.

Applications, both for young people and entities promoting traineeships, should be submitted at empregojovem.azores.gov.pt by October 24.

The traineeships begin on December 2, pursuant to the Order of the Regional Secretary for Youth, Housing and Employment, Maria João Carreiro, published today in the Official Journal of the Autonomous Region of the Azores.

In the Central and Local Public Administration, the responsibility for selecting applicants rests solely with the entity promoting the project within the legal recruitment limits. The entity must admit trainees by October 24, inclusively.

In the Regional Public Administration, the admission of trainees is based on selection criteria, evaluation and a final assessment formula. Trainees should be admitted in descending order, with the final admission date set for November 21.

Young people who have recently graduated from higher education, levels 6, 7 or 8 of the National Qualifications Framework, can apply for ESTAGIAR L. In turn, young people who have recently graduated from vocational courses, levels 4 or 5 of the National Qualifications Framework, can apply for ESTAGIAR T.

The ESTAGIAR L trainees receive a monthly allowance corresponding to the Minimum Monthly Wage in the Region, with a 25% increase. Meanwhile, the ESTAGIAR T trainees receive a monthly allowance corresponding to the Minimum Monthly Wage in the Region, with a 5% increase.

Traineeships last for 12 months, including a rest period during the 12th month. They may be extended for a further three months in Public administration entities on the islands of Santa Maria, São Jorge, Pico, Graciosa, Flores and Corvo.
