The target of 25 thousand registrations on the mySaúde Açores app was reached last Friday - this figure corresponds to the target set under the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP) by the end of September.

The achievement of this goal ahead of schedule demonstrates the strong support of the Azorean people and the commitment of health professionals to this pioneering mission to modernise the Regional Health Service.

Since its launch in January, the app has brought health care closer to all Azoreans. In its initial phase, it provided features such as consultation scheduling, teleconsultations and access to key clinical data, in addition to allowing multiple users to be linked to a single telephone number, making it easier to monitor children, parents or grandparents. Today, it offers new possibilities that make health management faster and more convenient, such as access to clinical test results.

User feedback has been fundamental to the evolution of the application, allowing it to be adjusted to their real needs. The project continues to expand, with new features expected to be introduced soon and the gradual integration of the Divino Espírito Santo Hospital to include all the features already available in the other regional hospitals, namely the Horta Hospital and the Santo Espírito Hospital of Terceira Island.

mySaúde Açores is co-financed by the RRP and has Siemens Healthineers as its technological partner. The mission of mySaúde Açores continues, seeking to improve access to health care across all islands and overcome the challenges of remoteness, placing users at the heart of the healthcare system.
