Sofia Ribeiro announces digital platform to simplify applications for cultural support - Communication

The Regional Secretary for Education, Culture and Sport, Sofia Ribeiro, presented today in Angra do Heroísmo the new digital platform that will simplify the application process for cultural support and speed up payments to agents.

"We have progressed from a project to a reality," she said, recognising that this project began with the warning from cultural agents regarding the need to evolve in this application process.

This year, applications for cultural support, whose deadline is set for September 30, can now be submitted via the new platform (located at apoios.cultura.azores.gov.pt) or in the traditional paper format.

In addition to the Legal Support Scheme for Cultural Activities, the platform will gradually incorporate the possibility of submitting applications for other support programmes managed by the Regional Directorate for Culture, such as those concerning philharmonics, whaling heritage, after-school education or the preservation of movable and immovable heritage.

"With such a platform, we have easier access to the application, and the process itself is much faster," stated the Regional Secretary.
