The head of the Azorean Government will participate in the panel "Vital Peripheries of the EU: Placing Outermost Regions at the Heart of the EU's New Priorities." This session will be dedicated to highlighting the contributions of peripheral regions to the development and territorial cohesion of the European Union.

During the event, the importance of strategies tailored to island territories will also be discussed in the panel "Smart and Resilient Islands – Development Perspectives under Cohesion Policy," which will address topics such as energy transition, innovation and economic resilience.

The event will be attended by several prominent figures at a European level, such as Dragoş Benea, Chair of the European Parliament's Committee on Regional Development, Emmanouil Koutoulakis, Secretary-General for Maritime and Island Policy in Greece, and Nanette Maupertuis, President of the Corsican Assembly, among other officials and experts in the field of regional policy, health and economic development.
