It is with great sadness and deep sorrow that I received the news of the passing of Rogério Gomes Moitoso, Regional Deputy Director for the Budget and Treasury.

During his life dedicated to public service, Rogério Moitoso distinguished himself through his technical skills, the rigour with which he performed his duties and, above all, the integrity, discretion and profound humanity with which he always served the Autonomous Region of the Azores.

With a solid and exemplary career in the Regional Public Administration, he was a constant and respected presence in various technical structures and support bodies of the Regional Government, participating with commitment and dedication in processes fundamental to the credibility and balance of regional public finances. 

His career has also been marked by the willingness to collaborate, share knowledge and contribute to constructive solutions, always with an attitude of dialogue, reflection and a sense of responsibility.

Beyond his professional qualities, we are left with the memory of a good-natured and loyal fellow worker who was genuinely committed to the common good.

At this time of grief and farewell, on my behalf and on behalf of the Government of the Azores, I would like to offer my deepest and most heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and fellow workers. May the example and legacy of Rogério Moitoso live on in the memory of all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
