The Regional Government congratulates União Agrícola Cooperative, CRL. on being distinguished with the Azores Growth Award, as part of the VALORFITO 2024 Awards, promoted by SIGERU - Integrated System for the Management of Agricultural Packaging and Waste.

This national recognition highlights the cooperative's exemplary performance as a VALORFITO Take-back Point, which provides free collection and take-back of plant protection product packaging, contributing to the environmental sustainability of agriculture in the Azores.

This award is particularly significant as it is a cash prize that will be donated to a charitable organisation in the Autonomous Region of the Azores, thus reinforcing the dual social and environmental commitment that distinguishes the work of União Agrícola Cooperative, CRL.

The Regional Government acknowledges the merit, dedication and responsibility shown by the cooperative, whose work has decisively contributed to the continuous improvement of the VALORFITO system, the fulfilment of environmental goals and the consolidation of good practices in the regional agricultural sector.
