Notice of support for fisheries and aquaculture sustainability in the Azores republished

The Regional Secretariat for the Sea and Fisheries, through the Regional Directorate for Fisheries, informs that the 1st republication of NOTICE no. 02/C10-i05-RAA/2024 was published today to extend the deadline for the submission of applications to June 30, 2025. It concerns the Incentive System for Energy Transition, Digitisation and Reduction of Environmental Impact in the Fisheries and Aquaculture Sector. It falls within investment TC-C10-i05-RAA under the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP).
The notice provides an overall amount of five million Euros to support operations promoting modernisation, innovation and sustainability in the fisheries and aquaculture sector in the Azores.
Operations aimed at modernising and renewing the fishing fleet, innovating in the fisheries and aquaculture sectors to improve energy performance, modernising processes, reducing waste production at sea, and promoting the circular economy are eligible for this support measure.
Owners of fishing vessels registered in ports located in the Autonomous Region of the Azores, operators in the processing and sale of fishing and aquaculture products, fishers' organisations, including producers' organisations, aquaculture companies, and public companies with powers and responsibilities in the administration of fishing centres and ports may apply for this support measure.
This incentive system reinforces the commitment to the sector's sustainability and resilience, promoting fleet modernisation, energy efficiency, waste reduction and the circular economy This is aligned with the strategic RRP goals as well as the needs of the fisheries and aquaculture sector in the Autonomous Region of the Azores.

The period for the submission of applications runs until 5 p.m. on June 30, 2025.
