Oboe and Piano Recital at Sant'Ana Palace - Communication

The Presidency of the Regional Government and the Ponta Delgada Regional Conservatory have the pleasure of inviting you to an oboe and piano recital by David Costa and Pedro Ferro.

The event will take place at the Sant'Ana Palace in Ponta Delgada on Sunday, April 6, at 6:30 p.m. 

Admission is free. Tickets can be collected at the palace's entrance gate from today between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

David Costa is a Portuguese oboist with a career spanning more than 20 years, having collaborated with several renowned orchestras, such as the Gulbenkian Orchestra and the Lisbon Metropolitan Orchestra. A graduate of the Lisbon School of Music, he is also a teacher and an internationally recognised artist, frequently a guest artist for masterclasses and concerts.

Pedro Ferro is a pianist and teacher who received his training at the National Conservatoire and the Lisbon School of Music. In addition to a solid career as a soloist and chamber musician, he teaches at the Gregorian Institute of Lisbon and the Lisbon School of Music. Together with David Costa, he has dedicated himself to promoting Portuguese music, having released two albums with repertoire by Portuguese composers.

Friends since their days at the Lisbon National Conservatory Music School, David Costa and Pedro Ferro share a long history of artistic collaboration. Their musical complicity, based on a common passion for music, has been the driving force behind this project, which is not limited to interpretation but also to creating moments of interaction with the public.

Performing together since 2003, they stand out for the expressiveness of their interpretations and their remarkable ability to communicate, underpinned by solid technical training and vast artistic experience.
