Applications open for university edition of Entrepreneurial Academy - Communication

The registration period for the Digital Ideation Programme as part of the university edition of the Entrepreneurial Academy - School of Leaders is open until April 7.

Applications for this programme, promoted by the Regional Secretariat for Youth, Housing and Employment, through the Regional Directorate for Youth, are free and must be completed digitally through the Youth Portal, available at juventude.azores.gov.pt.

Young people born or with tax residency in the Azores, enrolled in a Portuguese or foreign higher education institution and aged 28 or under can participate in this entrepreneurship education programme in a school context.

The Digital Ideation Programme takes place in a 100% online bootcamp format from April 9 to May 7 after working hours. It will cover thematic modules such as "Design Thinking - ideas generator," "Key Resources - the importance of the team," "Financial Plan - the finances of a start-up," "Business Model - Producing the MVP," "Power of Marketing - How to pitch."

The final Pitch will determine the best projects that will take part in i9-Açores - the Regional Competition for Innovative Ideas, which takes place from May 19 to 22 in Praia da Vitória, Terceira Island.

The Entrepreneurial Academy - School of Leaders promotes skills through a learning-by-doing methodology with educational programmes adapted to each level of education.

The university edition is an opportunity to help train young university students with differentiating skills, think about ways to maximise the Region's resources and wealth, speed up the connection between young students and the business and professional world, and encourage business creation and self-employment.

The university edition of the Entrepreneurial Academy  - School of Leaders, covering all levels of education, including vocational education and projects developed by Private Social Solidarity Institutions (IPSS), has already mobilised more than 60 young people in the two previous editions. In 2023 and 2024, 18 participants presented business ideas and 9 teams participated in the i9.Açores competition.
