The mySaúde Açores app and user portal, launched by the Secretariat of Health and Social Security in January this year, initially came about with the possibility of users requesting a consultation and having a teleconsultation, avoiding unnecessary travel to health centres.

For the app and portal to work correctly, user data must be updated to validate the registration immediately.

"It is important to highlight the possibility of linking our dependents’ accounts to our account so that we can handle our requests and those of our children, parents or other dependents we are responsible for at once," emphasised Mónica Seidi, the Regional Secretary for Health.

The development of this app continues, as planned, to grow with new associated features.

Other features not available in the initial phase are available from today. In addition to the request for chronic prescriptions, it also includes the possibility of issuing attendance statements, providing information on vaccinations and synchronising appointments.

"At the same time, we are implementing the Vaccine Platform, which will allow users to find data that is not yet up to date but it is a work in progress," she continued.

She added: "We have almost 60 thousand hits and nine thousand registered users, which makes us very happy. As it is a project we are very committed to, seeing this kind of receptivity from our users is satisfying."

The development of this app and portal is an ongoing project. As more features become available, we will expand its reach. Starting this Friday, we will also collaborate with social media personalities and advertise through various media outlets, including television and radio.
