Works Contract awarded for repair of floating pontoons at fishing harbour of Praia da Graciosa Port - Communication

The Regional Secretariat for the Sea and Fisheries, through the Regional Directorate for Fisheries, awarded today the works contract to repair the technical networks of the floating pontoons at the Fishing Harbour of Praia da Graciosa Port, through a simplified direct award procedure, for the sum of €16,958.38, plus VAT at the legal rate in force, with a completion period of 120 days.

As the safety of fishing professionals and their boats is at stake, the Regional Secretariat for the Sea and Fisheries prioritised the repair of this infrastructure at the beginning of this legislative period.

After Lotaçor conducted a technical survey of needs, a market consultation was carried out, and only one proposal was submitted - by SPA Live, Lda.

The next step will be to consult the market on repairing the structures of the floating pontoons at the said fishing harbour, thus responding to a demand from the sector and providing all the necessary safety for fishing on Graciosa Island.
