Promoted by the Regional Secretariat for Parliamentary Affairs and Communities, through the Regional Directorate for the Communities, this activity aims to bring the Azores closer to its emigrant communities in the diaspora and immigrants residing in the archipelago, and involving the general public.
The seventh season of this series of sessions will showcase notable Azoreans who excel in areas such as entertainment, politics, education, communication, history, genealogy or business, along with association leaders and presidents of organisations based in Bermuda, Brazil, Canada, the United States of America or Uruguay.
The first six seasons of this activity were dedicated to the Houses of the Azores, the Azorean Diaspora Councillors, community social service organisations, the media outlets serving the Azorean communities in the United States of America and Canada, biographical interviews featuring guests born in the Azores who have made a name for themselves outside of Portugal and, finally, life interviews with citizens from several countries residing in the Region and fully integrated into Azorean society.
This new series of sessions, like the previous ones, will be broadcast live on the "Azores Communities" page, the official presence of the Regional Directorate for the Communities on Facebook on Mondays.
The new interviews will be broadcast fortnightly at 6 p.m. from the Azores, with the presentation of the Regional Director for the Communities, José Andrade.
