The Azores Christmas Crafts Fair - 2024, promoted by the Regional Secretariat for Youth, Housing and Employment, through the Crafts and Design Centre of the Azores (CADA), opens to the public today until next Sunday, December 8, at the Pavilhão do Mar in Ponta Delgada.

Craft products from more than 80 regional craft companies will be on display. This is an excellent opportunity for artisans and craft production units to disseminate and market their products and creations, many of which are certified by the "Azorean Handicrafts" collective brand.

The Azores Christmas Crafts Fair may be visited from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. on weekdays (today, Thursday and Friday) and from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free.

The official opening session of the Azores Christmas Crafts Fair, chaired by the Regional Secretary for Youth, Housing and Employment, Maria João Carreiro, will take place on Friday, December 6, at 6:30 p.m. The new online platform for Azorean crafts will be presented at the event.

This edition of the Azores Christmas Crafts Fair will once again feature musical and cultural moments, namely the performance of the Castanets Group "Os Companheiros" today at 8 p.m.; the performance of the "Violas da Terra" School from Fajã de Baixo on Friday at 6:30 p.m.; the performance of the Duo Toadas on Friday at 8 p.m.; the performance of Evandro Meneses on Saturday at 8 p.m.; and the performance of the Traditional Singing Group from Santa Cruz on Sunday at 8 p.m.

The Azores Christmas Crafts Fair will include various workshops on different arts and crafts with the following schedule, and registrations must be made by emailing [email protected]:
