Tender launched for acquisition of CT equipment for Santa Maria - Communication

The public tender for the supply, installation and maintenance of Computerised Tomography (CT) equipment for the Santa Maria Island Health Unit is now open.

The contract falls within the acquisition of imaging equipment for medical use. According to Mónica Seidi, the Secretary for Health and Social Security, its implementation will be "an important step for Regional Health Service users, particularly those residing in Santa Maria."

"This is another purchase the Regional Government is making to bring greater comfort to the Azoreans, reducing the need to travel to another island for this particular exam and avoiding all the inconveniences that travel can cause, especially for older patients," she said.

The tender is part of the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP) for the Digital Hospital of the Autonomous Region of the Azores.

The tender is valid until 11:59 p.m. on the 30th day after the announcement date, which can be found in the Official Journal of the Regional Government of the Azores.

Tenderers are required to keep their proposals for 120 days after the submission deadline.
