12 intermediary organisations have joined the Azores Book Voucher scheme, through which young people aged 18 can benefit from an allocation of 100 Euros, upon application, for the purchase of books, informs the Regional Secretariat for Youth, Housing and Employment, through the Regional Directorate for Youth.

The list of intermediary organisations is published on the Youth Portal: juventude.azores.gov.pt. As of today, there are five organisations from São Miguel Island, three from Terceira Island, two from Pico Island, one from Faial Island and one from Santa Maria Island.

The list will be permanently updated according to the admission of new members to the "Book Voucher" measure by bookshops, booksellers and establishments selling books.

Young people residing on islands without organisations joining the measure can buy books from approved intermediary organisations, as listed on the Youth Portal, which are responsible for selling the books digitally and sending them out. The expenses incurred with mailing books are paid directly to the intermediary organisations and are not deducted from the beneficiary's "Book Voucher" balance.

Young people living in the Azores who submit their application within 60 days of reaching 18 can apply for the "Book Voucher," a measure created by the Regional Government as part of the "+ Youth" package.

Applications are open on the Youth Portal.

The "Book Voucher" is personal, non-transferable, and valid for 1 year.

The "Book Voucher" is awarded to young people in digital format. The Regional Government reimburses the costs of the book(s) purchased with it to bookshops, booksellers, and establishments selling books that join this measure through a cooperation protocol.
