Tender launched for refurbishment of nursing home in São Roque do Pico - Communication

The Santa Casa da Misericórdia de São Roque do Pico has launched the public tender for the Refurbishment and Expansion of the Nursing Home and Day Centre of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia de São Roque.

Once the work is completed, there will be one more way to support the elderly in the municipality of São Roque do Pico, with a capacity for 60 users in the Residential Structure for the Elderly (ERPI) and 20 users in the Day Centre.

"The Day Centre is a new response created by the coalition Government, which remains committed to strengthening the responses available to the most vulnerable, in this case, the elderly," recalls the Regional Secretary for Health and Social Security, Mónica Seidi.

She continued: "In addition to the ERPI, the Day Centre, not just this one but all of them, are very important for more active ageing, both physically and mentally, as well as for mitigating loneliness."

With a view to the signing of the works contract, this new tender has a new base price of €3,754,000.00 + VAT. The overall investment of €4,789,640.00 is managed by the Regional Secretariat for Health and Social Security, through the Regional Directorate for Social Solidarity.

With a completion period of 540 days, the works contract is an investment financed under the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP).
