Duarte Freitas announces 3% increase in Supplementary Remuneration and widening of coverage brackets - Communication

The Regional Secretary for Finance, Planning and Public Administration, Duarte Freitas, announced today a 3% increase in supplementary remuneration for 2025, a figure exceeding the inflation forecast for next year, set at 2.3%.

In addition to this readjustment, the Regional Secretary revealed that the Regional Government will "expand the range of complementary remuneration, raising the current limit of €1,701.00 to €2,000.00."

This measure will ensure that 755 more civil servants benefit from the support, reflecting the Regional Government's commitment to improving workers' conditions.

Duarte Freitas made this announcement in Ponta Delgada at the end of a series of meetings with trade unions to discuss the increase of the supplementary remuneration of regional civil servants as part of the preparation of the Region's Plan and Budget for 2025.

These changes to the Supplementary Remuneration represent an investment of approximately 800 thousand Euros by the Autonomous Region of the Azores, reinforcing the Government's commitment to strengthening and valuing the Regional Public Administration.
