The Vice-Presidency of the Regional Government, through the Regional Directorate for Communications and Digital Transition, has launched the international public tender for the development and implementation of the Regional Public Administration Services Portal.

The opportunity to create a single portal for Regional Public Administration services arises in the context of the development of the LINKA - Regional Public Administration Information Systems Architecture project and the urgent need to promote administrative modernisation by making quality public services available in a simple, secure, fast, efficient, accessible, transparent and dematerialised manner.

Currently, many public services are provided in a fragmented manner and with different levels of dematerialisation, accessibility and efficiency, causing difficulties for citizens and companies when interacting with the regional public administration. Additionally, there is a lack of efficiency in the way they are processed, often supported by multiple platforms, many of which are obsolete.

The creation of the Regional Public Administration Services Portal aims to solve these issues by providing a single, cross-use and integrated platform where services can be accessed easily and intuitively.

Rather than simply centralising existing services, this approach involves dematerialising processes and simplifying them, reducing bureaucracy and the number of platforms, so as to increase the transparency and efficiency of public services.

This portal will be an essential tool for the modernisation of the regional public administration, aligned with the best e-government practices, in response to the wishes of citizens and businesses as far as digital services are concerned.

The Services Portal is a measure included in the Azores RRP.
