Secretaria Regional da Saúde e Segurança Social
The Santa Casa da Misericórdia da Madalena do Pico has launched the public tender for the construction of an Activity and Training Centre for Inclusion (CACI) in the municipality of Madalena.
Implemented by the Regional Secretariat for Health and Social Security, through the Regional Directorate for Social Solidarity, the tender has a base price of €3,100,000.00 (+ VAT), corresponding to a global investment of €4,903,146.00.
Financed under the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP), the investment will provide another quality response to support people with disabilities in the municipality of Madalena, with a capacity for 60 users at the new Activity Centre.
According to the Regional Secretary, Mónica Seidi, "this is another initiative that proves that people are at the heart of this Regional Government's action." In this specific case, it is "an investment to increase vacancies in Activity and Training Centres for Inclusion, so as to better respond to the waiting lists in this social response while maintaining the course that has been set, which is to achieve an installed capacity more suited to the actual needs of the population."
The tender has already been published in the Official Journal of the Autonomous Region of the Azores and stipulates 540 days as the completion period for the works contract.
