Azores Handicraft Fair cycle kicks off with Santo Cristo 2024 edition

The Azores Handicraft Fair, promoted by the Regional Secretariat for Youth, Housing and Employment, through the Azores Crafts and Design Centre (CADA), kicks off on May 3 as part of the Santo Cristo dos Milagres Festivities in Ponta Delgada.
This edition marks the beginning of the new season of local handicraft fairs associated with the Region's main summer festivities. It will feature 56 artisans from the islands of São Miguel, Terceira, Flores, Pico and Faial, including 16 Craft Production Units with products certified by the "Azorean Handicrafts" collective brand.
The Azores Handicraft Fair - Santo Cristo 2024 will be part of the Azores Industry, Commerce and Services Fair (FICSA), an initiative organised by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ponta Delgada that will be held at the Alameda Pavilhão do Mar in Portas do Mar.
The fair can be visited from May 3 to 9 at the following times: from 6 pm to 12 am on May 3; from 4 pm to 12 am on May 4, 5, 6 and 9; and from 6 pm to 11:30 pm on May 7 and 8.
The Azores Handicraft fair cycle will then continue with the Sanjoaninas festivities, in Terceira, from June 21 to 30; the Velas Cultural Week, in São Jorge, from July 4 to 7; the Calheta Festivities, also in São Jorge, from July 12 to 15; the Praia Festivities, in Terceira, from August 2 to 11; and the Sea Week, in Faial, from August 2 to 11.
Also in August, the Azores Handicraft Fair will be at the Senhor Santo Cristo dos Milagres festivities in Graciosa from August 8 to 13, and at Whalers' Week, in Pico from August 19 to 25, closing with the Christmas Fair in São Miguel from December 4 to 8.
