The Regional Government, through the Regional Secretariat for Health and Social Security, "wants to make Azorean society ever more inclusive, creating better conditions for those who need it most," emphasised the Regional Secretary, Mónica Seidi.
In this regard, the Santa Casa da Misericórdia das Lajes das Flores has launched a public tender for the construction of the Specialised Day Centre for disabled users and inclusive Free Time Activity Centre (CATL) in Lajes das Flores, as part of a global investment by the Regional Secretariat for Health and Social Solidarity, through the Regional Directorate for Social Solidarity.
The aim is to increase the response for disability in the municipality of Lajes das Flores, with a new capacity for 20 users in the CATL and 15 users in the specialised day centre. The works contract has a stipulated completion period of 15 months.
This initiative reflects the Regional Government's investment in increasing vacancies in inclusive CATLs and specialised day centres, thus achieving an installed capacity tailored to existing needs.
With this initiative, the Regional Government intends to continue implementing quality social responses and support for all Azorean citizens under the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP).
