Degree in History from the University of the Azores in 1997.
Postgraduate degree in Documentation Sciences (specialisation in archives) in 2003.
She taught theoretical/practical courses of Cultural History and Mentalities from the 15th to 17th centuries (3r year of the History Degree programme), at the invitation of Professor Margarida Lalanda Gonçalves, in the academic year 1998/1999.
She taught the Archives component to the course of Archives and Library Sciences as part of the Cultural Heritage Degree programme from 2005 to 2007, having also prepared the curricular programme for the area of Archives.
By appointment of the President of the Regional Government, she took up duties as coordinator of the working group responsible for drafting the legal documents establishing and regulating archives policies for the Autonomous Region of the Azores in May 2005
By appointment of the President of the Regional Government of the Azores, she took over the coordination of the Commission for the Archives of the Autonomous Region of the Azores.
At the request of the Office of the President of the Regional Government of the Azores, she drafted the proposal for Ordinance regulating the fees to be applied by Public Libraries and Regional Archives.
She was a member of the Board of the Azores Regional Section of the Portuguese Association of Librarians, Archivists and Documentalists in the triennia 2005/2007, 2008/2010 and 2010/2013, performing other duties in the following triennia, namely as President of the Supervisory Board of the Regional Section from 2014 to 2020.
She coordinated the Information Centre of the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Regional Government of the Azores from May 2009 to October 2014.
She is also the Vice-President of the João XXIII Social Welfare Centre - Os Traquinas (Private Social Solidarity Institution).
She has been the Coordinator of the Commission for the Archives of the Autonomous Region of the Azores since January 2009 until the present date.
As part of her activities, she has organised and participated in several meetings and events in the area of Archives, Libraries and information management.
