Brand creation and management specialist Carlos Coelho is the guest speaker at the Pico island Autonomic Forum to be held on Tuesday evening at the auditorium of the Whaling Museum in São Roque do Pico, as part of the Regional Government's statutory visit to the island.
The forum to be broadcast live on the Regional Government's Facebook page takes place on the second of a three-day visit to the island of Pico. The theme of the speaker's conference will be "Azores Brand: the challenge of adding value and happiness."
Carlos Coelho, one of the great Portuguese references in brand building and management, has led hundreds of projects for some of the most relevant brands in Portugal, such as Multibanco, Telecel/Vodafone, Yorn, Galp Energia, RTP, TV Cabo, CTT Correios, Sumol, TAP Portugal, SATA, Leya, Sonae, Delta, Fidelidade, Sogrape, The Navigator Company, Portugal Sou Eu, among many others.
He is the author of several studies on brand trends and theoretical models.
He is the author of the book "Portugal Genial" and co-author of the book "Brand Taboos," in addition to being a university professor, columnist and TV commentator.
As a speaker, he has delivered more than 200 speeches over the last five years at the invitation of various institutions: governments, universities, business associations and companies in several countries.
Among other awards, he was distinguished as marketing personality of 2005 by the Portuguese Association of Marketing Professionals, distinguished for his career by IADE Creative University and elected marketing personality of the year 2011 by IPAM.
Since January 2007, he has been the founder and chairman of Ivity Brand Corp, an international consultancy firm for brand creation, innovation and management. It has been distinguished with more than 200 awards, including being elected 14 times as company of the year, the award for the best branding project with the Leya brand and the Golden Lion in Cannes, where Sonae's brand project was considered the best in the world.
