Applications for Azorean companies to attend Web Summit 2022 open until Monday

Applications for the participation of Azorean companies and incubators in the 2022 edition of the Web Summit are open until Monday, October 10.

This call aims to foster the internationalisation of regional technology companies and the export of their services, through their participation in the 2022 edition of the Web Summit conference.

Individual entrepreneurs and companies, with head office or permanent establishment in the Autonomous Region of the Azores, who develop their activity in technological areas or sectors, namely computer programming activities; solutions based on the internet of things (IoT); computer game development; augmented reality; e-commerce solutions; industrial production process control and management software; machine-to-machine and human-to-machine technologies and big data.

Applications must be submitted in electronic form, in text format, with a maximum of 1,200 words, to the address [email protected]

Applications will be assessed by a jury that will assess, among other criteria, the estimated impact of participation in the Web Summit 2022 regarding the internationalisation of companies, the export of services and their improvement.

The first 20 applicants will be awarded tickets for the Web Summit 2022 and a cash prize of 500 euros per participant to cover the costs incurred with their participation in the event.

For further information, those who are interested should consult the Government Council Resolution no. 161-A/2022 of October 6, which approves the rules for the participation of the Autonomous Region of the Azores in the Web Summit 2022.
