577 new positive cases of covid-19 were diagnosed, with 337 on the island of São Miguel, 117 on the island of Terceira, 51 on the island of Pico, 33 on the island of Faial, 19 on the island of São Jorge, 16 on the island of Graciosa, three on the island of Santa Maria and one on the island of Corvo, following 2,435 tests carried out.
São Miguel - 209 in Ponta Delgada, 54 in Ribeira Grande, 35 in Lagoa, 16 in Vila Franca do Campo, 12 in Nordeste and 11 in Povoação.
Terceira - 63 in Angra do Heroísmo and 54 in Praia da Vitória.
Pico - 25 in Madalena, 20 in Lajes and six in São Roque.
Faial - 33 in Horta.
São Jorge - 14 in Calheta and five in Velas.
Graciosa - 16 in Santa Cruz.
Santa Maria - three in Vila Porto.
Corvo - a new positive case.
Recoveries:
A total of 1,159 recoveries were registered in the last 24 hours.
Hospitalisations:
As of today, there are 41 patients hospitalised, 23 of them at the Divino Espírito Santo Hospital on the island of São Miguel (one in intensive care), 12 at the Santo Espírito Hospital of Terceira Island (one in intensive care) and six at the Horta Hospital (one in intensive care).
Current situation:
The archipelago currently registers 5,505 active positive cases: 3,751 on the island of São Miguel, 818 on the island of Terceira, 271 on the island of Pico, 211 on the island of Graciosa, 190 on the island of São Jorge, 184 on the island of Faial, 37 on the island of Corvo, 29 on the island of Santa Maria and 14 on the island of Flores.
Vaccination:
From December 31, 2020, to February 19, 2022, 209,777 people in the Azores already have complete primary vaccination (88.7%) and 111,786 people have already received the booster dose (47.3%).
As of today, 6,402 children had been inoculated with the first dose of the vaccine, corresponding to 37.6% of a universe of 17,033 children between the ages of 5 and 11.
