Last 24 hours:
1,376 new positive cases of covid-19 were diagnosed, with 914 on the island of São Miguel, 305 on the island of Terceira, 39 on the island of Faial, 39 on the island of São Jorge, 29 on the island of Pico, 27 on the island of Santa Maria, 19 on the island of Graciosa and four on the island of Flores, following 4,444 tests carried out.
On the island of São Miguel, 479 new positive cases were registered in the municipality of Ponta Delgada, 241 in the municipality of Ribeira Grande, 72 in the municipality of Nordeste, 68 in the municipality of Lagoa, 49 in the municipality of Vila Franca do Campo and five in the municipality of Povoação.
The island of Terceira registered 217 new cases in the municipality of Angra do Heroísmo and 88 in the municipality of Praia da Vitória.
The island of Faial registered 39 new positive cases in the municipality of Horta.
On the island of São Jorge, 35 new positive cases were registered in the municipality of Velas and four in the municipality of Calheta.
The island of Pico registered 18 new positive cases in the municipality of Madalena, seven in the municipality of São Roque and four in the municipality of Lajes.
The island of Santa Maria registered 27 new positive cases in the municipality of Vila do Porto.
The island of Graciosa registered 19 new positive cases in the municipality of Santa Cruz.
On the island of Flores, three new positive cases were registered in the municipality of Santa Cruz and one in the municipality of Lajes.
Hospitalisations:
As of today, there are 52 patients hospitalised, 42 of them at the Divino Espírito Santo Hospital on the island of São Miguel (three in intensive care), eight at the Santo Espírito Hospital of Terceira Island (two in intensive care) and two at the Horta Hospital (one in intensive care).
Recoveries:
A total of 795 recoveries were registered in the last 24 hours.
Death:
In the last 24 hours, a 93-year-old man residing in the parish of Arrifes, municipality of Ponta Delgada, on the island of São Miguel died from covid-19. He was not vaccinated.
Current situation:
The archipelago currently registers 14,373 active positive cases: 11,147 on the island of São Miguel, 2,255 on the island of Terceira, 332 on the island of Faial, 265 on the island of Pico, 188 on the island of São Jorge, 104 on the island of Graciosa, 42 on the island of Flores and 40 on the island of Santa Maria.
From December 31, 2020, to January 31, 2020, 207,013 people in the Azores already have complete primary vaccination (87.6%) and 85,506 people have already received the booster dose (36.2%).
