Last 24 hours:
939 new positive cases of covid-19 were diagnosed, with 807 on the island of São Miguel, 91 on the island of Terceira, 21 on the island of Graciosa, seven on the island of Flores, five on the island of Pico, four on the island of Santa Maria, three on the iland of Faial and one on the island of São Jorge, following 2,266 tests carried out.
On the island of São Miguel, 337 new positive cases were registered in the municipality of Ponta Delgada, 299 in the municipality of Ribeira Grande, 55 in the municipality of Lagoa, 48 in the municipality of Vila Franca do Campo, 35 in the municipality of Nordeste and 33 in the municipality of Povoação
The island of Terceira registered 65 new cases in the municipality of Angra do Heroísmo and 26 in the municipality of Praia da Vitória.
On the island of Graciosa, there are 21 new positive cases in the municipality of Santa Cruz.
The island of Flores registered five new positive cases in the municipality of Santa Cruz and two in the municipality of Lajes.
On the island of Pico, four new positive cases were registered in the municipality of Madalena and one in the municipality of Lajes .
On the island of Santa Maria, four new positive cases were registered in the municipality of Vila do Porto.
The island of Faial registered three new positive cases in the municipality of Horta.
On the island of São Jorge, there is a new positive case in the municipality of Velas.
Hospitalisations:
As of today, there are 57 patients hospitalised, 45 of them at the Divino Espírito Santo Hospital on the island of São Miguel (three in intensive care), eight at the Santo Espírito Hospital of Terceira Island (two in intensive care) and four at the Horta Hospital (one intensive care).
Recoveries:
A total of 330 recoveries were registered in the last 24 hours.
Death:
In the last 24 hours, a 77-year-old woman, resident in Lomba da Fazenda, municipality of Nordeste, São Miguel Island, died from covid-19 . She had been admitted to the Divino Espírito Santo Hospital in Ponta Delgada since January 28.
Current situation:
The archipelago currently registers 12,797 active positive cases, with 9,675 on the island of São Miguel, 2,162 on the island of Terceira, 314 on the island of Faial, 265 on the island of Pico, 207 on the island of São Jorge, 94 on the island of Graciosa, 52 on the island of Flores and 28 on the island of Santa Maria. From December 31, 2020, to January 28, 2022, 206,638 people in the Azores already have complete primary vaccination (87.4%) and 83,248 people have already received the booster dose (35.2%).
