1,393 new positive cases of covid-19 were diagnosed, with 802 on the island of São Miguel, 426 on the island of Terceira, 67 on the island of Faial, 39 on the island of Pico, 31 on the island of São Jorge, 18 on the island of Flores, nine on the island of Santa Maria and one on the island of Graciosa, following 4,155 tests carried out.
On the island of São Miguel, 390 new positive cases were registered in the municipality of Ponta Delgada, 243 in the municipality of Ribeira Grande, 68 in the municipality of Lagoa, 65 in the municipality of Vila Franca do Campo and 36 in the municipality of Nordeste.
The island of Terceira registered 287 new cases in the municipality of Angra do Heroísmo and 139 in the municipality of Praia da Vitória.
The island of Faial registered 67 new positive cases in the municipality of Horta.
On the island of Pico, there are 22 new positive cases in the municipality of Madalena, 10 in the municipality of São Roque and seven in the municipality of Lajes.
The island of São Jorge registered 24 new positive cases in the municipality of Velas and seven in the municipality of Calheta.
The island of Flores registered 13 new positive cases in the municipality of Santa Cruz and five in the municipality of Lajes.
On the island of Santa Maria, nine new positive cases were registered in the municipality of Vila do Porto.
The island of Graciosa registered a new case in the municipality of Santa Cruz.
Hospitalisations:
As of today, there are 53 patients hospitalised, 38 of them at the Divino Espírito Santo Hospital on the island of São Miguel (two in intensive care), 12 at the Santo Espírito Hospital of Terceira Island (one in intensive care) and three at the Horta Hospital (one intensive care).
Recoveries:
A total of 706 recoveries were registered in the last 24 hours.
Current situation:
The archipelago currently registers 9,210 active positive cases, with 6,785 on the island of São Miguel, 1,627 on the island of Terceira, 295 on the island of Faial, 289 on the island of Pico, 109 on the island of São Jorge, 49 on the island of Flores, 32 on the island of Graciosa and 24 on the island of Santa Maria.
From December 31, 2020, to January 26, 2020, 206,258 people in the Azores already have complete primary vaccination (87.2%) and 80,567 people have already received the booster dose (34.1%).
