Applications for attendance of postgraduate courses at the College of Europe in the 2025/2026 academic year are open until January 15, 2024.

Attendance of postgraduate courses at the College of Europe is supported by the Vice-Presidency of the Regional Government of the Azores, through the Regional Directorate for European Affairs and External Cooperation (DRAECE), with the awarding of the "José Medeiros Ferreira" Scholarship.

The scholarship provides financial support to cover tuition fees, accommodation, meals and a round trip from the student's residence to the country where the course takes place.

The decision to award this scholarship is made following the admission of applicants from the Autonomous Region of the Azores to the College of Europe to postgraduate courses in the areas of European Law, European Economic Studies, Interdisciplinary European Studies, International Relations and Diplomatic Studies, European Political and Governance Studies, Transatlantic Affairs or European Transformation and Integration.

Eligible applicants admitted to a postgraduate course at the Colégio da Europa must be aged up to 30 (at the beginning of the course). They are also required to have completed their secondary education in the Region and have resided in the archipelago of the Azores for at least three years. Moreover, applicants must hold a university degree and be fluent in English and French, both in written and oral forms.

Founded in 1949, the College of Europe is a private education institution of renowned international prestige with a long-standing tradition in the study, analysis and discussion of European affairs. Every year, it welcomes more than four hundred postgraduate students.
