Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Climate Action promotes technical session on INSPIRE directive in the Azores - Communication

The Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Climate Action, the Regional Government department responsible for geographic information and the contact point in the Autonomous Region of the Azores for the European Community's Infrastructure for Spatial Information (INSPIRE), established by Directive 2007/2/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of March 14, will hold a technical session on this Directive and the procedures required for compliance by all entities producing geographic information in the Region.

This technical session will be held online, via Microsoft Teams, from November 5 to November 8, 2024. It is aimed at all public and private entities wishing to acquire specific knowledge in this area, namely the following contents:

• Assumptions of the INSPIRE Directive;

• Harmonization of Spatial Data Sets (SDS);

• Configuration and Publication of Spatial Data Services (SDG);

• Editing, publication, and validation of metadata using the Azores Metadata Manager (GeMA) tool.
