Mario Parise
Mario Parise is an associate professor of engineering geology at the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of Bari Aldo Moro, Italy. The main research activities are geological and geomorphological analysis of slope movements, the study of the influence of weathering in the predisposition of landslides, debris flows, and erosional processes in areas recently affected by wildfires, support to civil protection actions for monitoring of natural and man-made hazards and disaster risk management, karst hydrogeology, evaluation of natural and anthropogenic hazards in karst, analysis of sinkholes and their effect on the human environment. He is the author or co-author of over 240 scientific publications. .
