César Cardoso
César Cardoso graduated in civil engineer in 2004 from the University of Minho (UM), postgraduate in Building Management, Technology and Physics at the same University and later the Master’s degree on “Development of the Efficient Window (JEE) project” in 2008. In the same institution, in 2009, he was a guest assistant in the civil engineering department, a disciplinary group of constructions. During that period it also carried out research and development in the UfM construction materials department, the CVR – Centro de Valorização e Resíduos, and later in the Fibrenamics research group. From 2017 to 2020 he worked with the Architecture Company – SKREI, lda, responsible for the technology department, oriented towards research, development and production of products with low environmental impact. This activity resulted in the production of blocks for the construction of non-structural masonry incorporating shavings of hemp, a pioneer in Portugal. In 2021 it is the Natura Matter with Spin Off status of the UfM. It provides advisory services and markets construction products that meet new market requirements in terms of sustainability, based on the concept of circular economy and healthy housing. As main customers Filstone – Comércio de Rochas, S.A. for the mass stone research and development project and Cânhamor, Lda for research and development of the industrial process for the manufacture of hemp blocks.
