Welcome to CIECC, the 2th International Conference on Circular Economy in the Construction Sector – From Vision to Reality: Construct in a circular manner, build sustainably, in the Azores. The 1th edition of the CIECC, held in March 2023, coincided with the closure and dissemination of the final results of the ReBuild17 project (see the project here). In this 2th edition, CIECC challenges the whole scientific community to reflect on circular and sustainable construction, seeking to turn a Utope Vision on the topic into real visions, responses and challenges. Organised by the Regional Secretariat for Mobility and Infrastructure Tourism of the Government of the Azores through the Regional Civil Engineering Laboratory, this edition focuses on the latest scientific and technical developments on the circular economy in the construction sector. |
The conference will bring together researchers and participants from various universities, technology centres, companies and entities interested in sharing the state of art and promoting national and international collaborations. The aim of the event is to be a forum for sharing the latest developments and trends in this sector, exchanging ideas and presenting new solutions, contributing positively to the assertion of the Autonomous Region of the Azores as a reference in the field of sustainability, in particular the circular economy in the construction sector. |
