Regional Government praises increase in average gross remuneration per worker
The Regional Government is pleased to note the significant increase in the average overall gross remuneration per worker in the Region, as shown by the data provided by the National Statistics Institute, through the Azores Regional Statistics Service (SREA).
In December 2023, the average overall gross remuneration per worker in the Azores reached 1,619 Euros, an increase of 110 Euros compared to the same period last year.
This salary increase reflects not only the Region's economic progress but also the commitment of organisations in the Azores to acknowledge the value of their staff's work.
Raising the average salary not only benefits workers, providing a tangible improvement in their quality of life but also strengthens the local economy, boosting domestic consumption and promoting sustainable prosperity.
This salary progress demonstrates the ongoing efforts of the Regional Government to implement policies aimed at boosting economic and social growth. We are committed to continuing on this path of progress, focusing on the well-being of citizens and the sustainable development of the Azores.
